February 4th, 2008:
Strange Land has disappeared into the studio for quite a while but is just about ready to emerge with a new album. The last parts of the recording process, which are the vocals, are well under way and once complete we'll be ready to mix, master and get the finished product out for duplication. Some pre-mix samples will be posted to MySpace within the next couple weeks, so watch for that (www.myspace.com/slband). The full album looks like it is going to be ready for a mid to late-Spring release and we are very excitedly anticipating the time when we can unleash CATHARSIS upon the world. Watch for more news, studio updates, and details regarding CATHARSIS and the CD release party soon!

July 12th, 2007:
Strange Land has been making some major strides over these last couple of months in the process of recording our new album. The drum tracks are complete and the bass tracks are not far behind. Work on the guitar tracks has already begun and once we get started on recording the vocals we will be placing some unmixed samples up on our MySpace site, so watch for updates on that!

April 11th, 2007:
Some more big shows to talk about this month. The first one is just few weeks away. Saturday, April 28th Strange Land will be back home at VNUK'S LOUNGE with our good friends ORPHONIC ORCHESTRA and our new friends from Chicago, THREE MACHINE. In May we will be joining friends FAR CORNER once again for a show in Lake Mills. Finally, on June 9th, along with both Orphonic and Far Corner, we will be one of eleven bands playing at the MIRAMAR THEATER as a part of the 2007 M.A.R.S. Festival, an all day music festival featuring some of the Midwest's finest art rock bands. As always, for more details on these and all other upcoming performaces, stop by our SHOWS page.

March 8th, 2007:
The recording process for the third album is in the demo stages as we have made a few recordings to get some idea about sound quality and mixing. It has, however, been kept to a bit of a slower pace by the number of shows we have been planing for this late winter/early spring.

Speaking of which, Strange Land's last show at Shank Hall was a great experience and we want to thank everone for the strong showing of support at that one. Stop by the PHOTO GALLERY for some new pictures from that evening courtesy of our friend and photographer extraordinaire GARETH GLYNN ASH.

Strange Land has five more shows scheduled and/or in the works for the upcoming months including next week Friday's show at The Main Stage. Stop by the SHOWS page and find out when we'll be playing near you!

December 21st, 2006:

Next we have a show for 2007 to announce already as well. Our friends in FAR CORNER have invited us to open for them at Shank Hall for their CD release party in February. Check out the SHOWS page for more information.

August 22nd, 2006:

The second, scheduled for November 3rd, is at a new venue for us, MAIN STAGE, in Waukesha. Please see the SHOWS page for more information on both performances.

The second show will be back at our home away from home, VNUK'S LOUNGE on Saturday, June 24th again with KOPECKY and our new friends, MY ALIBI. See our SHOWS page for more info on both of these upcoming dates and more.

June 21st, 2005:
Well, it's been a while once again and the reason is because Strange Land has spent the last 4 months preping for and participating in the Emergenza international music festival. And so, as many of you know Strange Land had the opportunity to participate in the Emergenza Milwaukee finals over Memorial Day weekend. It was huge day for us and we are very grateful for the experience, but as it turns out for us that was the end of the Emergenza Road. However, we would just like to take one more opportunity to thank everyone who purchased tickets and came out to The Rave to support us in our attempt to take Strange Land to the Regionals. We'd also like to once again thank everyone who came out to Vnuk's for the first round and to The Rave Bar for the semi-finals. We couldn't have made it as far as we did if it wasn't for your support.

This has been a huge learning experience for us and we are very grateful for the whole thing, but now it's back to concentrating on attaining our goals on our own terms and back to work in the studio on more songs for our third album and more gigs to promote "Blaming Season." Thanks again to everyone from the bottom of our hearts and see you soon!

So now on to present matters. Strange Land has a couple of shows at Vnuk's Lounge coming up both of which are posted on the SHOWS page. More details on those coming soon.

Also, Strange Land has been receiveing a lot of press on our new album BLAMING SEASON. This new press will be posted along side our reviews for ANOMALY on the REVIEWS page shortly, so please check back to read up on what everyone has to say.

February 1st, 2005:
Before we get to anything else we are excited to tell everyone that the new album, BLAMING SEASON is now available at CENTURY MEDIA's online web store! Stop in an order a copy or two for yourself or a friend and while you are at it, you might as well round your order off with a few other items and get FREE SHIPPING!

Next just a couple of quick updates about our upcoming shows later this month:

Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances we regretfully announce that OUTLANDER has dropped out for our CD release party on the 19th. In light of this news we have been lucky enough to convince a couple of great bands, the mighty TEST-SITE and our good friends FUZEE, to fill in their shoes for the evening. Along with a night of merriment and varied and diverse music, you can also expect to see CD and T-shirt giveaways. Also, if you are planning to attend the EMERGENZA show on the 11th don't forget to save your ticket stub from that show because it will get you into the CD release party for FREE!!!

And speaking of the EMERGENZA show, if you haven't already purchased your tickets for this one, please send us an email and we can get some out to you ASAP. We can really use everyone's support on this one as it is a competition requiring the most audience votes to progress to the next round. So if you can, please come out and show your support for us on this one and once again don't forget that as a reward to our friends and fans, the one ticket gets you into both shows!

December 18th, 2004:

Finally this month we have one more show to announce. We are happy to be a part of this year's EMERGENZA FESTIVAL on February 11th. The first show is on July 27th and along with fellow Wisconsin P.R.O.G. alumni SHADOWCASTER we will be opening for Swedish metal band FATAL SMILE who will be touring the states for the next couple months. The second show will be in mid-August at The Rock Shop, a new club that is opening in the building where the Globe West used to be. For this show we are very excited to finally be hooking up with SPIRAL TRANCE, something we've been trying to make happen since February.
